The Israelites were joyful when they went to the House of the Lord in Jerusalem. Today God’s house is the church (the gathering of the body of Christ – not the building). We are to welcome everyone, unite around God’s Word and His name, expect His presence, having God’s love and peace predominate. The new Jerusalem is a real place – currently full of joy and waiting for our arrival.
