Part 10 – Parable of the Day Labourers
Scripture: Matthew 20:1-16
The Parable of the Day Labourers tells a story of a landowner who hires workers at different times of the day but pays them all equally. The workers who were hired first grumble about the equal pay, feeling it is unfair that they are all paid the same with different amounts of work, but the landowner emphasizes his right to be generous. This story emphasizes God’s grace and generosity towards us and reminds us that we need to keep our eyes on God and the purpose He has for us, rather than comparing our gifts with others.
